Difference between Polarized and Polarized Capacitor.

Difference between Polarized and Non Polarized Capacitor.

About-

Polarized Capacitor are mainly those capacitor which have polarity positive (+ve) and negative(-ve) side.polarized capacitor only used in DC.like Electrolytic Capacitor.

Non Polarized Capacitor are mainly those capacitor which don't have any polarity they are Un-polarized means you won.t see any positive(+ve) and negative(-ve) side they are used in both AC and DC .

Overview-

There are advantage and disadvantage for both.like polarized capacitors have higher leakage current and act as a short-circuit when connected the wrong way. Also have a lower frequency response, but they are smaller that non-polarized of the same capacitance.                                                                                                                                                                  we can use non polarized capacitor for both in AC and DC Circuit But we can't use Polarized capacitor in Ac that can be use only in DC circuits.

What happen when some one used polarized capacitor in AC Circuits?

If somehow someone place polarized capacitor in AC circuit then that capacitor will burn out with a explosion

Identification-

Polarized Capacitor are mainly those capacitor which have polarity positive (+ve) and negative(-ve) side.polarized capacitor only used in DC.like Electrolytic Capacitor.Non Polarized Capacitor are mainly those capacitor which don't have any polarity they are Un-polarized means you won.t see any positive(+ve) and negative(-ve) side they are used in both AC and DC.

Application:-

*Used in Filtration of Current
*Used in manage a Duty Cycle of a circuits.
*Suppression of Noise
